Wärtsilä Gas Solutions is a global business unit within the Marine Systems division, with people located in different locations such as Norway, Poland, UK, France, Finland and China. The business unit has end-to-end responsibility from Sales through to commissioning of completed systems.
Wärtsilä Gas Solutions offers systems and solutions related a number of oil & within the gas segments. The scope includes marine LNG and LPG cargo systems, fuel gas systems for marine vessels, onshore gas terminals and biogas systems.
Your responsibilities
Participation in project execution and studies for gas plants on LNG and LPG carriers, onshore and offshore
Development of system design and preparation of engineering documentation
Specify equipment for purchase, technical evaluation of bids, review of vendor documentation and supplier follow-up
Ensure relevant technical information flows through other engineering disciplines
Technical clarifications with customer, supplier, 3rd party (e.g. Class Society)
Participate in design reviews e.g. Hazop sessions, 3D model review etc.
Technical support for commissioning and start-up activities, participate in FATs at Suppliers facilities
Our requirements
BSc/MSc in mechanical engineering or equivalent
Experience from maritime, Oil & Gas and/or process industry engineering
Technical knowledge of rotating and/or static mechanical equipment (such as: Heat Exchangers, Pressure Vessels, Pumps, Compressors, Valves), mechanical design standards and materials
Familiarity with applicable Classification Societies rules for marine industry (DNV, BV, LRS, ABS etc.)
Willingness to travel if needed, occasional business trips
Ability to work in a multinational team
Fluent English language, both verbally and in writing
Minimum 3 years of professional relevant experience
