Kalmar's Automation Business Line is looking for a DevOps Engineer to join our Automation & Software team in Tampere to support in the development, testing and quality assurance of our software for automatic cargo handling solutions. You will be part of a team of 150+ software & hardware experts located primarily in Tampere, Finland. We are passionate about technology, software, automation and the impact we can have in driving the sustainability agenda together with our parent company, Cargotec.
The position is located in Tampere, Finland.
Main tasks and responsibilities:
You are primarily responsible for driving the changes in DevOps with the goal of enhancing quality, productivity and development of our test automation framework development. You will support our local Quality Assurance community with issues related to the test automation framework, CI tools and infrastructure of the test environment. Finally, you will play a key role in providing expert support in the deployment of our automated solutions, globally and cross functionally.
Out ideal candidate has:
- MSc or BSc in Automation Information Technology or Computer Science
- A passion for and several years proven experience in Test Automation, DevOps and Virtualization
- Strong programming/scripting & technical problem solving skills
- Kubernetes subject matter expert capable of providing platform engineering / architecture best practices (including experience with architecting and implementing the overall platform, orchestration, security, and monitoring ecosystem)
- Experience with various implementations of Kubernetes to provide architectural and operational guidance for existing and future Kubernetes implementations
- Candidate also must have experience with container and Continuous Integration tools like Jenkins
- Experience in administering Windows- and Linux-based operating systems.
