About this opportunity
Welcome to the Data Systems team. We add value by making data easily available and enabling data & analytics solutions. As a BATL you’ll play a valuable role in taking full accountability over the Data Systems change and run portfolio to enable the best omni-channel customer experience, e.g. Analytic Data Hub, AI/ML tooling and our data lake solution. You will be working closely with our Agile Release Trains, Application Owners, Application providers and capability leads to ensure effective execution and cooperation. You will be the main point of contact between business and technology and a key member of the Data Systems leadership team.
What you’ll be doing:
- Ensure strategies exist for how technology solutions should meet business objectives within target architectures, and ensure that those strategies are executed upon in collaboration with the business sponsor
- Ensure mitigating actions for all technology risk, compliance and audit matters, including IT vulnerabilities.
- Establish technology delivery plans with clear priorities and an overall execution structure, aligned with infrastructure roadmaps, system lifecycle management, funding and capability resource plans
- Manage planning and optimisation of technology total cost of ownership for own business portfolio, and ensure planning and funding of improvement initiatives as well as alignment with common initiatives outside own execution structure
- Manage the interface to business stakeholders and processes including communication to foster alignment between business and technology
- Ensure a Strategic Workforce plan is in place and executed upon in alignment with your stakeholders.
- Ensure adherence to the Nordea Technology Standards and Technology Strategy.
This is an informal leadership role without the traditional line management responsibilities, allowing you to focus on the responsibilities mentioned above.
You’ll join a highly productive and mature agile release train with skilled and pro-active people with strong knowledge of their domains. The role is based in Helsinki, Stockholm, Oslo or Gdansk/Gdynia.

- Have experience and a deep understanding of technology in the Data and Analytics domain and are well informed of the industry best practices, trends and opportunities.
- Understand the business side of our solutions, including strategy, objectives and priorities.
- Are highly pro-active and able to communicate with stakeholders on different reporting levels, produce high quality presentations & management reporting as well as facilitate SteerCo meetings.
- Can communicate complex technical subjects in a clear and understandable way.
- Have strong leadership skills and proven ability to lead and influence others in a matrix organization
- Are able to manage challenging conversations, bringing in different perspectives.
Your experience and background:
- Master’s Degree in relevant technical area
- Significant experience within the Data and Analytics technology domain ( > 8 years)
- Fluent in verbal and written English
- Understanding & ideally first-hand experience of the SAFe ways of working
